Q. What is the check in/check out time?
A. Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 10am. We will do our best to accommodate early arrivals and late check outs and fees may apply. All are subject to availability.

Q. What is the minimum age requirement to check into the room?
A. You must be 18 years old with a valid ID to make a reservation and check into the hotel on your own.

Q. Is my ID/passport required at check in?
A. We do require the presentation of a valid government-issued identification at the time of check-in. Front Desk staff may take a copy.

Q. I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?
A. You must go through the booking agent/website that you went through in order to change your reservation.

Q. Do you have connecting rooms?
A. We have some connecting rooms at the hotel. You may make a request for connecting rooms. However, they are not guaranteed.

Q. Do you have accessible rooms?
A. Due to the construction of the building we do not have accessible rooms.

Q. Do your rooms allow rollaway beds/cots? Is there a charge?
A. We do offer – depending on the room – rollaway beds. Cots are available and are free of charge.

Q. Do you offer room service? What are the hours?
A. Room service is available from 7am–10am and 5pm–10pm daily.

Q. Do you offer a frequent guest programme?
A. Yes as a Best Western Hotel we are part of Best Western Rewards. If you are not a member yet – you can enrol immediately at the front desk.

However, we do recognize and acknowledge all our repeat guests in our unique way.

Q. Do you have high-speed wired and/or wireless Internet access available?
A. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel/rooms and is complimentary for all our guests.

A. No we don’t. Ask the front desk staff to make special arrangements.

Q. Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?
A. No – but hotels in the city centre are served by a shuttle service operated by CHECKIN-allways. The price for this service varies according to how many passengers are travelling and the distance involved. The service leaves the airport every 30 minutes from 6:30am to 11pm daily.

Q. How much does a taxi charge from the airport/hotel to the hotel/airport?
A. This depends on the traffic/hour of the day – but in general – approximately CHF60 (for up to 4 passengers). Luggage is charged per piece.

Q. Do you have on-site parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?
A. Yes, we offer limited parking space. The overnight parking fee is CHF25. The parking fee is an additional charge to your account and is not included in the room rate unless otherwise noted in the package.

Q. What is the tipping policy in Switzerland?
A. All services include tip. However, it is up to the individual guests whether or not they would like to be generous towards, or reward the staff for an excellent service.

Q. If I have questions about my bill. Who do I call?
A. You can call the Zürcherhof‘s general line at +41 44 269 44 44, and ask for the accounts department.

Q. What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?
A. We accept all major credit cards. When you check into the hotel, we will hold the full room and tax total, plus $100 for room charges. These charges will be deducted from your account within five days after checking out.

We do not accept cheques. If you would like to check in to the hotel with cash, we will ask for the full payment of the room charges, applicable taxes, and resort fee. In addition, we will require a security deposit. Your security deposit may be refunded after your room has been inspected upon your departure.

Q. What is the cancellation/deposit policy?
A. Prior to Arrival: We require a credit card at the time of booking/check-in. You must cancel at least 24 hours prior to arrival (4pm local hotel time) to avoid a one night’s room charge and tax to your card.

Q. What is the smoking policy?
A. The Zürcherhof is a smoke-free establishment. This includes all public rooms, the restaurant as well as the hotel rooms. A cleaning fee of CHF200 will be charged to your account for non-compliance with the ban.

The main designated smoking area is outside the main reception entrance.

Q. What is the alcohol and drug policy?
A. It is against the law for anyone under 18 to consume alcohol on a licenced premises; anyone found purchasing alcohol for a guest under 18 years of age will have the alcohol confiscated from them and will be asked to leave immediately. The incident will be reported to the police.

Anyone found using or under the influence of illegal drugs or substances will be reported to the police and asked to leave the premises. Any evidence or suspicion of drug use on our premises will also be reported immediately to the police.

Q. What is the pet policy?
A. We do not allow pets in the rooms at the Zürcherhof. Pets are permitted in the public restaurant – however, we ask you to keep your pet on the floor – never on your lap or on any seats. It is not allowed to feed your pet in the restaurant.
